Overview

Established: Oroslavlje, 5 February 1997. Members: 1998 (5.250), 1999 (5.250), 2002 (5.500). A regional party from Zagorje region (north of Zagreb). This party has not a single representative in the Parliament, but the the State Election Committee and the Parliamentary Constitutional Committee decided that it is to be counted as a parliamentary party. Namely, the party run for election in 2004 in joint list with the HSP and they together won one seat that is occupied by a non-party representative. The party flag is described in the statutes (Staut ZDS, 07.04.2001 <www.zds.hr>). The flag is tricolour of red over white over blue divided in wavy lines and overall the party emblem consisting of the initials ZDS in shades of green and two red squares. The wavy lines are said in the Statutes to represent the low hills of Zagorje region.   My drawing is reconstruction from the description and the emblem representations on the net, so maybe there is some difference, but I judge it could not be significant.
